Alberto Dosal, Chairman

Throughout his career, Alberto Dosal has stayed on the forefront of technology to meet market needs and client expectations. His financial leadership and strategic guidance have enabled both established and growing businesses to flourish and its employees and executives to excel. He attributes his success to a strong focus on cultivating and nurturing mutually beneficial and lasting relationships with employees, clients, industry innovators and local civic leaders.

Alberto Dosal currently presides as chairman of Dosal Capital and all of its operating companies, including Compuquip Cybersecurity, Blue Wave Communications, and Strety. Dosal Capital was formed in 2013 as a holding company for the Dosal's operating businesses and to continue to build entrepreneurial businesses to be leaders in their respective fields.

Now one of the oldest and largest family-owned and -operated IT businesses in South Florida, Compuquip Cybersecurity was originally founded by Alberto Dosal as Compuquip Technologies in 1980 to provide technology equipment leasing services to local financial services firms. Under the current management of his son, Eric, the company has since evolved and expanded the firm to its current focus on enterprise security products and services.

Additionally, Dosal founded the voice-and-data-cabling company Blue Wave Communications in 2004, which is currently part of the Dosal Capital portfolio.
Previously, he resided as chairman of Brightgauge Software, a web-based platform serving the needs of managed IT service providers (MSPs), which his sons launched in 2010. Brightgauge Software was successfully sold in 2018.

Active in the local community, Dosal leveraged his financial acumen and banking industry experience to serve on the Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta – Miami Branch. In 2015, he was appointed by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington D.C. to serve as the Chairman of the Miami Branch. Further, Dosal was the 2009-2010 Technology Committee Chair and 2013-2014 Chairman of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, for which he is also a Chairman Circle member. From 2014 - 2018, he served as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Parkinson Foundation.

In addition, Dosal is a Founding Member of the Technology Foundation of the Americas, a founder of the Florida Atlantic University (FAU) football program, a lifetime member of the FAU Inner Circle and Alumni Association, a recipient of the 2000 FAU Talon Award for outstanding leadership and an inductee in the Miami Dade College Alumni Hall of Fame.

Dosal holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, and an Associate of Arts from Miami Dade College in Miami, Florida.
